Essential Relationship Skills Workshop

Join us once a month to learn new relationship skills and connect with your community! This month we will focus on communication. Expressing what we need is essential for sustaining healthy relationships. And yet, most of us struggle to clearly communicate our needs to the people who matter most to us. Trauma, dysfunctional family dynamics, and cultural messages can convince us that our needs don’t matter, are too much, or won’t be respected.

This workshop will help participants identify their core attachment needs, distinguish between needs and wants, learn effective interpersonal communication skills to express their needs, and set and hold boundaries to create healthy relationships. By embracing our needs and effectively advocating for ourselves, we can truly get what we need and show up as our best selves in our relationships with others. We will then practice these communication skills, connect with new people in our community, and play games and dance.

Come by yourself or with friends, partners, or intriguing strangers. People of all genders, orientations, and relationship structures are welcome: this is a queer, trans, kink, and ENM/CNM affirming event and space.

Note: This is a clothes-on event! While we always love talking about sexuality and intimacy and facilitating consensual connections with others, this event is strictly non-sexual in nature. All participants are expected to respect other participants’ boundaries at all times.
