What Is Ketamine-Assisted Couple Therapy?
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, or KAP, combines traditional therapy with ketamine sessions to help clients make powerful changes. Ketamine supports therapy processes by alleviating depression and anxiety symptoms, increasing neuroplasticity, and allowing clients to more fully engage with challenging thoughts and emotions.
We use KAP in couple therapy to help partners who are feeling stuck in unworkable relationship patterns and who are ready to make lasting shifts in how they relate to one another. Couples' KAP can help you:
- Improve your communication and understand one another better
- Experience more empathy and compassion, for yourself and your partner
- Deepen your connection and intimacy
- Resolve past hurts, like infidelity and other betrayals
- Make important decisions with love and kindness, including whether to break up or stay together
